Why call Alabama 811?
-
It's the law that you call 811 at least two business days before digging on private or public property. This applies to individual homeowners as well as commercial excavators.
-
Digging into underground utility lines can be dangerous and potentially life-threatening.
-
Alabama 811 will contact all local utilities to come locate and mark lines in your dig area.
-
Remember, any expense for repairing damaged underground lines will be billed to the person responsible for the damage.
