Operation Warm (Community Action Partnership of North Alabama)
Decatur Utilities and the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama, offer assistance through the Operation Warm and Low-Income Energy Assistance programs.
Operation Warm is funded by voluntary donations from customers of Decatur Utilities. Customers can opt add a minimum of $1 or more to their monthly power bill each month. Funds collected are administered by Community Action to customers who are elderly, handicapped or in a health crisis situation. Assistance is available on a one-time basis.

Power to the Schools (Decatur City Schools)
The mission of the Decatur City Schools (DCS) is to provide an innovative learning community committed to academic excellence and meeting the unique needs of every individual.
Initiatives like Power to the Schools provide funds for special projects and programs that provide our students with educational opportunities above and beyond the standard curriculum. Power to the Schools provides an ongoing and dependable funding source for technology resources not covered by budget dollars. As you can see from the above graphic, Education is the basis for which students, and therefore communities, thrive. Power to the Schools provides an opportunity for all citizens to be involved in our children's education.
